Today’s Verse is about feeling worn down by life but realizing that what’s happening on the outside isn’t the full story of what God is doing within you.

2 Corinthians 4:16–18 (NIV)
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.”
There are seasons where you’re doing all the right things — showing up, praying, trusting — and yet you still feel tired, stretched, or emotionally thin.
This verse speaks to that disconnect.
It acknowledges something honest: Sometimes life wears you down on the outside.
Physically. Emotionally. Mentally.
But it also reveals something hopeful:
God is still working on the inside, renewing you in ways you may not immediately feel or see.
Just because you’re tired doesn’t mean you’re failing. Just because things feel heavy doesn’t mean nothing good is happening.
God often does His deepest work beneath the surface — quietly strengthening your faith, reshaping your perspective, and building endurance that will carry you forward.
If today you feel:
• discouraged by how tired you are
• frustrated that growth feels slow
• unsure if anything is changing
Remind yourself:
Outward exhaustion does not cancel inward renewal.
You may feel worn — but you are not wasted. God is renewing you day by day, even when progress feels invisible.
“Even when I feel worn down, God is still renewing me.”
Lord, thank You for renewing me even when I feel tired. Help me trust that You are working within me, shaping something stronger than what I can see right now. Amen.
