You know, life has a way of throwing us all into some seriously interesting chapters. We go through rough patches, we deal with divorces, we step into the wild world of co-parenting and step-parenting, and we figure out how to blend families like we’re mixing a complicated recipe with half the directions missing. Add in the daily juggle of being grateful for the jobs we have and navigating the whole digital parenting maze, and, well… it’s a lot.
And let’s be honest — a whole lot of us have walked through divorce or are smack in the middle of it. Singleness afterward can feel like freedom, confusion, healing, and “what in the world am I doing?” all at once. Some of us are learning how to actually rest on the Sabbath without mentally reorganizing our entire lives. Others are raising kids in a digital world that updates faster than our patience.
Then comes the loneliness no one wants to talk about, trusting God with our grown kids (which should come with a manual), and protecting our peace from toxic family dynamics — because some folks will drain you faster than your phone battery on 1%. And don’t forget the non-biological families God knitted into our stories, the forgiveness we wrestle with, the resentment we’re trying to stop carrying around like emotional luggage, and that fear of the future that loves to whisper “what if” while God keeps saying, “trust Me.”
And through all of that? We’re still trying to find meaning, hope, humor, and heart.
That’s exactly what my book 3 (Living Faith Out Loud) dives into — not perfect answers, just real-life moments where God shows up in the middle of the mess.
The book has so much in it. Scriptures, heartfelt stories, Biblical Stories that tie into every one of those topics. There are 30 days of devotionals.
