Already Handled It
Guilt is one of the most pointless things we drag around. It doesn’t correct our past, it doesn’t deepen our faith, and it sure doesn’t make us holier. All it really does is sit on your chest like a weighted blanket from the clearance rack – uncomfortable, unnecessary, and not at all doing what it promised.
And here’s the truth we keep forgetting:
Jesus already paid for every sin – fully, completely, once and for all.
“He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross… by His wounds you have been healed.” – 1 Peter 2:24-25 (NIV)
Guilt doesn’t make you better… it just makes you miserable.
- It messes with your prayer life – makes you think God is tired of you.
- It changes how you show up with people — makes you shrink when you’re meant to shine.
- It steals joy, confidence, connection, and peace.
And what does it give you in return? Absolutely nothing but suffering.
Guilt is a thief. Grace is the cure.
So today, release what Jesus already redeemed. Walk in forgiveness. Stand in confidence. Pray boldly. Live freely. Because guilt keeps you stuck… but grace keeps you moving.
