Let’s be real for a second:
On Sundays, we’re all ready to charge hell with a water pistol. We’re quoting Scripture, hugging necks, saying “Amen!” like we mean it, and planning to start a Bible study, a prayer journal, AND a revival in our break room.
But by Monday?
We’re spiritually “logged out,” scrolling TikTok like it’s our actual devotional, snarling at the person who posted a Bible verse yesterday… and then turning around and belting out Way Maker like we didn’t just ignore the Holy Spirit for six days straight.
And I’m not judging—we’ve all been there. Life gets loud. Jobs drain us. Kids are feral. The laundry multiplies like rabbits. And by bedtime we’re promising God, “Tomorrow I’ll do better,” with the same conviction we had when we swore, we’d start a diet on Monday.
Here’s the truth we talked about in one of my women’s groups:
Faith isn’t a weekend hobby.
It’s a daily relationship.
Not a Sunday show.
Not a once-a-week “spiritual high.”
Jesus doesn’t deserve our leftovers.
Our ordinary.
Our messy.
Our exhausted.
Our coffee-in-hand, half-awake moments—not just our “Sunday best.”
He deserves our everyday. Because faith lived daily changes us.
Faith once a week just entertains us.
So, let’s aim for:
Scripture that shapes our Mondays
Prayer that interrupts our Tuesdays
Grace that guides our Wednesdays
Encouragement that shows up in the chaos
Praise that doesn’t need a worship team
Let’s stop being Sunday warriors and weekday ghosts. Jesus didn’t die for one day a week. He wants all seven.
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” — Psalm 118:24
—Everyday worship. Everyday faith. Everyday Jesus.
If you’re seeking more encouragement today, you may find comfort in our Devotions or be strengthened by our Verse of The Day or Prayers, offering Scripture to carry with you throughout the day.
