Faith & Encouragement

Cherish the people around you

Cherish the people around you—because seasons change.

For some, the holidays are full of laughter and noise.
For others, they’re quieter than they used to be. Empty chairs. Grown children living their own lives. Loved ones who are missed more than words can explain.

The Bible reminds us:

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” — Ecclesiastes 3:1

If your children have moved on—into adulthood, independence, or a life that looks different than it once did—know this: letting go doesn’t mean losing them. It means trusting God with what you once held so closely.

“The Lord watches over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” — Psalm 121:8

If you’re blessed to still have people gathered around your table, cherish them. Speak love freely. Don’t rush past the moment.

And if God has placed new faces in your life, don’t overlook them. Sometimes He comforts us not by replacing what was lost, but by expanding our hearts.

“God sets the lonely in families.” — Psalm 68:6

Whether you’re holding on, learning to let go, or standing somewhere in between—God is present in every season. The same God who carried your children forward is the One steadying your heart right now.
