“Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.”
What This Means in Today’s WorldLife doesn’t always fall apart all at once. Sometimes it shakes us slowly — a little stress here, a disappointment there, uncertainty piling up until you realize you’ve been bracing yourself for impact.
This verse speaks directly into that tension.
God isn’t described here as helpful sometimes or strong when things go right. He is called a rock — steady, unmoving, dependable. A fortress — protective, surrounding, secure.
That means when everything else feels unstable — relationships, plans, emotions, expectations — God remains unshaken.
You may feel unsure.
You may feel tired.
You may feel overwhelmed.
But the foundation beneath you has not moved.

• Remind your heart where your security lives
Stability doesn’t come from things lining up perfectly. It comes from knowing Who is holding you steady.
You don’t have to be unbothered to be secure. You just have to be anchored.
