Scripture:
“Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” — Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)
Reflection:
This isn’t a sprint, even though your stress acts like it is. It’s a marathon — and yes, that means pacing yourself, hydrating (spiritually and literally), and ignoring the urge to compare your lane to someone else’s highlight reel.
God didn’t ask you to outrun everyone.
He asked you to stay in your lane and keep going.
Perseverance isn’t flashy. It’s showing up tired, choosing faith again, and refusing to quit just because today feels heavier than yesterday.
Slow progress is still progress.
And quitting early doesn’t speed up the finish line.
Prayer:
Lord, help me run this race with endurance, not anxiety. Strengthen my faith when I’m tempted to stop and remind me that You’re cheering me on every step of the way. Help me stay focused on the path You set for me. Amen.
