Scripture:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” — Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)
Reflection:
Leaning on your own understanding sounds responsible… until you realize how often it’s fueled by assumptions, emotions, and that one thought you overanalyzed at 2 a.m.
God isn’t asking you to stop thinking — He’s asking you to stop insisting you know best.
Trust means releasing the need to fully understand before you obey. It means following God even when the path doesn’t make sense yet. Because let’s be honest — your understanding has limits, but God’s wisdom doesn’t.
So today, loosen the grip. You don’t have to figure it all out. You just have to trust the One who already has.
Prayer:
Lord, help me trust You beyond my need to understand. Quiet my overthinking and strengthen my faith. Teach me to lean on Your wisdom instead of my worry. Amen.
