Today’s Verse is about what holds when everything else feels uncertain — not hype, not denial, but real stability.
Isaiah 26:4 (NIV)
“Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.”
There’s something simple and strong about this verse.
It doesn’t overcomplicate trust.
It doesn’t give a five-step plan.
It gives a reason.
“Trust in the Lord forever…”
That’s a big statement. Forever means this isn’t about one hard day or one good season. It’s about where your confidence ultimately rests. In You or the Lord?
And then it explains why:
“The Lord… is the Rock eternal.”
Rock means steady. Solid. Not shifting.
Not easily moved by headlines, opinions, or outcomes.
When Scripture calls God a Rock, it’s not poetic fluff. It’s saying He is dependable. What He says stands. Who He is does not change.
That matters because so much else does.
Feelings change.
Circumstances change.
People change.
Plans change.
Life just changes.
God does not!
Trust grows when you stop trying to stand on what moves and start standing on what doesn’t.
This verse isn’t asking you to pretend everything feels stable.
It’s reminding you where stability actually comes from. God is our foundation. He is the One who keeps us grounded.
If something feels unsettled right now, pause and ask:
What am I standing on?
Is it something temporary?
Or is it the Rock?
Trust doesn’t mean everything makes sense.
It means your foundation doesn’t shift.
“My foundation is steady because God is steady.”
Lord, help me place my trust in You, not in things that move. Be the steady ground under my feet today. Amen.
