Isaiah 43:19 says God is doing a new thing… and honestly? Some of us are so stressed, tired, and over life’s shenanigans that if God put the “new thing” in a neon sign, we’d still be like:
“Is this for me? Are You sure? Because my life looks like the clearance rack right now.”
Let’s be real, waiting on God can have you checking your spiritual tracking number like: “Uh… hello? My blessing was supposed to be here last Tuesday.”
But God doesn’t rush just because we’re impatient, dramatic, or threatening to quit every other week.
When I was writing my book, I had moments where I thought,
“Lord… this cannot be the new thing You’re talking about. This feels like the stress thing. The cry in the shower thing.”
But God was building something in me long before I ever saw it on paper.
And that’s the wild part — His “new thing” often starts looking like chaos, stretching, pruning, and a whole lot of “Are You serious right now?”
But then suddenly…
He opens a door you didn’t even knock on. He makes a way where there wasn’t even a hallway.
So if your life looks messy, confusing, or downright ridiculous right now – breathe. You’re not stuck. You’re being rerouted.
God’s not just doing a new thing… He’s doing it in you. Right now. Even if you feel like a hot, exhausted, blessed-but-stressed mess.
“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” — Isaiah 43:19 (NIV)
God often begins His greatest works in small, unseen ways — reminding us that faith doesn’t have to be big to be powerful.
