“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”
ReflectionThere are times when anxiety isn’t loud — it’s subtle. It hums in the background. It shows up as restlessness, overthinking, or a vague sense that something is off.
This verse isn’t about fear of being exposed. It’s about inviting God into the places we don’t fully understand ourselves.
“Search me” isn’t a harsh request. It’s a vulnerable one.
It’s saying, “God, I don’t even know how to name what I’m feeling — but You do.”
God isn’t threatened by your anxious thoughts. He isn’t surprised by your questions. He doesn’t pull away when your heart feels messy.
Instead, He gently leads.
Not all at once.
Not forcefully.
But patiently — into the way that brings life, peace, and steadiness over time.
Sometimes the most faithful thing you can do is stop trying to figure yourself out alone and let God walk with you through it.

You don’t have to diagnose everything.
Just invite God in.
