The Mustard Seed They Keep Asking Me About… Let’s Clear This Up
I wear this cute little necklace with a mustard seed in the middle of a flower, and ALL THE TIME when I’m out, somebody stops me like, “Uh… what’s that supposed to be?”
Oh honey, buckle up. Let me teach you some Bible real quick. 
“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed… nothing will be impossible for you.”
Now listen — Jesus did not say: “Come back when you have mountain-sized, superhero, Pinterest-perfect faith.”
No.
He said: bring Me your tiny, tired, ‘Lord please’ faith. I can work with that.
Let me break it down:
A mustard seed is SMALL.
Like “blink and you’ll lose it in the carpet” small.
But…
Matthew 13:31–32 (NIV)
“Though it is the smallest… it becomes the largest of garden plants.”
Translation:
God said, “Give Me your little, and I’ll grow it into BIG.”
People think mustard-seed faith means weak faith. Nope. It means your faith can be:
- exhausted
- shaky
- whispered
- halfway believing
- held together with one prayer and a half a verse
…and God STILL moves.
Luke 17:6 (NIV) – “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed…”
That’s Jesus basically saying: “If you’ve got the spiritual equivalent of a crumb… I can still uproot some things in your life.”
My necklace reminds me of this:
Some days I’m full of faith. Other days I’m like, “Lord… it’s me. Again. I got nothing. Help.” 
And guess what? He honors BOTH.
Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) – “Faith is confidence in what we hope for…”
Sometimes that “confidence” is strong. Sometimes it’s you hoping with one eye open like, “I think You got me, Lord… right?” He still counts it.
Here’s the whole point: It’s not the size of your faith. It’s the size of your God.
You bring the seed — He brings the tree.

So yeah… that tiny little seed in my necklace? It’s my reminder that even on the days when my faith feels microscopic, God is still out here doing major things.
Small faith.
Big God.
Crazy results.
