“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”
God never said you’d avoid the deep waters. He said you wouldn’t drown in them.
He never promised you’d skip the fire—
He promised you’d survive it.
Life right now can feel like:
• emotional floods
• financial fires
• relationship storms
• mental breakdowns disguised as “I’m fine”
And God steps in with:
“You’re not walking through this alone. And this will not destroy you.”
Not because you’re strong… but because He is present.
When you’re in a season that feels like:
“If one more thing happens, I’m done.”
Remember this verse isn’t symbolic… it’s literal power.
Floods = overwhelming moments.
Fire = painful seasons.
And yet:
• You won’t drown.
• You won’t burn.
• You won’t break beyond repair.
You might feel heat.
You might feel pressure.
You might feel stretched.
But you will not be consumed.
“I may be in the fire — but I won’t come out smelling like smoke.”
Lord, walk with me through the deep waters and the fire seasons of life. Strengthen me, protect me, and remind me that this trial will not destroy me. Amen.
