Verse of The Day – Lamentations 3:22–23 (NIV)

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

⁉️ What This Means in Today’s World

Some days you don’t wake up feeling victorious. You wake up thinking, “Wow. I survived yesterday. Barely.”

And this verse says: That’s not luck. That’s mercy.

God’s compassion doesn’t run on a punch card. It doesn’t expire because you had a rough day, a bad attitude, or a messy prayer that sounded more like a sigh.

“New every morning” means:

  • Yesterday’s mistakes don’t get a vote today.
  • Last night’s tears don’t disqualify you this morning.
  • God didn’t wake up tired of you. (Even if you woke up tired of everything.)

💡 Applying in Real Life

If today feels heavy before it even starts:

  • Don’t replay yesterday.
  • Don’t borrow tomorrow’s worries.
  • Don’t assume God’s patience ran out overnight.

Just take today’s mercy. It’s already fresh. Already paid for. Already waiting. You don’t have to earn it. You just have to receive it — coffee optional, mercy guaranteed.

Lord, thank You for new mercy today. Help me walk in it, trust it, and not disqualify myself from what You freely give. Carry me through this day. Amen.
